Fossil Hunters originally appealed to me because of its interesting concept combined with its nice stylized graphics. A game where I dig and construct dinosaur skeletons certainly sounds like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, this fun only lasted a while.
I was able to clear the first five levels in just under an hour, but I did not feel like continuing past that. Completing the levels did not feel rewarding and the little treasures earned along the way appeared to just be for show. Building fossils was somewhat fun, but the levels boiled down to just digging and combining the right pieces to unlock the next. I have heard that the later levels do get better, but I honestly do not think I could make it that far, as I was just over with it after just an hour.
However, this is coming from a singleplayer perspective. This game is obviously built for the co-op, so, had I friends to play the game with, it may have been more enjoyable. As a singleplayer title though, I would not recommend Fossil Hunters.

I was provided a free review copy of the game. Read more about how I do my game reviews here.
You only played for an hour and didn’t get past the first world. I dunno about your review process dude.

That is why this is an “impressions” post rather than a review. I did not want to keep playing a game that I did not like, so I chose not to do a full review.
