Talisman: Digital Edition, the board game, digitalized!
The game looked so cool going into it, but I just couldn’t get into it, even after trying so hard to do so. The game itself was well crafted, even if I didn’t enjoy the end product. It wasn’t too difficult to pick up, I managed to do so in about thirty minutes. The game’s tutorial did a fantastic job of explaining things and showing me around, props for that. I won’t attempt to explain the gameplay, as that’d be a bit difficult, but do know that it is based on the Talisman board game, which you may have played in the past.
There are a few flaws however. One being that the game tends to glitch when minimized, which I tend to do a lot. In this game’s case, it would crash upon opening the window again. That was a tad annoying. I’ve yet to play multiplayer, so I don’t know of any bugs that may exist there (although I’ve hear there have been plenty). Do note that the game has plenty of DLC coming, which is both good and bad. Maybe these technical flaws should be fixed up first, hmm?
Despite the many positive aspects of the game, I can’t say I recommend it. Future additions to the game may change that, but as it is now, I don’t recommend it.
