I wouldn’t necessarily call Journal a game. It behaves more like a interactive novel, with the only gameplay being the movement of the game’s main character.

I expected this, going into Journal, but ended up leaving the game in disappointment. The game’s story was interesting towards the beginning (a girl with a journal that mysteriously wiped itself), but I gradually lost my interest in it, much quicker than I had expected. The story is not terrible, but it’ll take some dedication in order to complete. This was surprising because I normally enjoy stories like this.

The game at least has its graphics going for it. Everything in the game is viewed through a journal, with a hand-drawn style to everything on that journal. I can’t really recommend the game, it’s just too boring, and this is coming from someone who plays a lot of visual novels. You’re better off elsewhere.
